In which our four protagonists, having achieved some sort of stability in their new lifestyle, discuss all the things they still have to live for and celebrate.

I really frowned, that day we found humanity was slain,
Long story short, I never thought I’d ever smile again,
But I have to say that since that day I’ve learnt a little thing:

Although it’s tragic, still the magic spell of life goes one,
And it is true the world we knew has not completely gone,
Yes the Earth will keep on turning, turning winter into spring,

So what if we forgot just what we four have got?
For sure we four have got a lot to be thankful for,
And so what if often we are prone to disagree?
At least we’ve got each other’s company.

So don’t be sad and don’t feel bad the human race is toast,
We had a good run, we had some fun, and that’s what matters most,
And while we remain, with one refrain we’ll make the rafters ring,
‘Cos it’s not really the apocalypse if there are people left alive to sing.
